Post F1 ....Innit?

F1 rocks had great content but poor organisers. No doubt peaked for me at the Saturday concert. Zz-top were playing before they did and I was flabbergasted to see oldies clutching their beers complete with beer buddies/bellies and preppy shorts and shirts shaking their tail feathers to these seeminly fashionable trendy Amish rockers took the stage.

Time check, it was an obviously a time trap or a morph that descended upon Fort Canning Park. Because it was music that I certainly did not get at all.

a) did the sycronised side stepping as they played the guitar
b) Harley Davidson Handle Bar Music
c) the hat that covered their face
d) the bread that covered their face
e) the sunglasses that covered their face
f) the music which all wounded the same in the same length and breath for over an hr.

Loved

a) the amish get up
b) the middle aged man and woman who were revived and brought back to their childhood

but check it when No Doubt came on.. It was the FLOW as described by Professor martin Seligman. Time stood still for me and like the middle aged bellies, I was transported instantly to over ten years ago. It was like being a young teenager all over again! It was a birthday treat for my brother to head on down to the no Doubt concert for his birthday as well and it went down as one of the best concerts ever.

a) Gwen Stefani rocked it out in a midriff (a.k.a in the ninties)
b) The full No doubt band kept things fresh by being more pronounced versions of themselves
c) Gwen's ABS, Attitude and Staminia
d) Live singing was even better than the record

All in in... this F1 was more about the music than cars for me. I went to the qualifers on Saturday...but the stars that shone on stage did it more for me than the vvrrooommm vrrooommm.
