Thank you all for the success at my 28th Leprosy Colony Fundraiser!

On the 24th of April, it was a time where summer skies in Singapore housed butterflies, chicken ladies (who were angels collecting the money), soaring spirits, where people held hands and made believed that we are actually better than our GDP. And we are. To all my friends whatever skies above that you pray to and inter-galatic universal, our souls to inter-wine for a time for love. Thanks and much gratitude for making my 28th Leprosy Colony Birthday Celebrations such a success. As I am smoothing over these pages and smooching, I cannot say enough to all you Love Doctors in the house. Yes that is right. Love Doctors, for all of you who came, care and contributed. Your love is good enough and the value of selflessness was greatly activated and enacted. We raised close to SGD$4000 and that puts me on a mission straight to getting a van for their needs. As you have viewed on the film, Dr Li from Xiang Hai Ann Leprosy Colony said that they needed the van to get supplies like medicine and food easily back to the village as it is situated quite far away from the town. I feel that I am doing this for selfish reasons though. Because I feel good. Full-Stop. When I travelled to Kunming , China to shoot the story about Dr. Li's amazing capacity for love and serving the colony for close to 37 years, I never imagined that her story would move me to action. Off my lazy arse and onto something which translate into action, something that I cannot attribute to my own self. My circle of friends have been instrumental in this coordinated effort. Yes, folks, like it or not. It is SPEECH time! okie, I understand that the cheesy notions of this might induce projectile vomiting in some. Hence, the surgeon's general warning. So here goes.

Merci to all my Love Doctors. Mucho bisous to you all who showing up and delivering your silent promises to reprise Micheal Jackson's "Heal the World" (did you hear that he was going to invent a new kind of moonwalk...that man is really flat out of cash). Some came with talents and sang. Bronzee and Dom played the guitar and practiced till 2am the night before with Pat, Tian and I. Josh and Gang performed the death defying fire pois, juggled with 5 balls, Not forgetting the generous sponsorship of speakers, Dj decks, Dee Jays who spun da night away... What about the baked lovely cupcakes. Yes it was loving handled and made by Mrs World, the ever beautiful Colleen. Props to ma home gal, Tian whom I work closely with on "Positive Projects" has demonstrated through her actions that in giving of self, lies the unsought discovery of self. Barry and Oli who offered their venue, at "Going Om" cafe 63 Haji Lane and housed many a liked minded vibrating creatures of pure passion, remarkable kindness and amazing talents.

Given our uber super frantic pace, a sanctuary in small places is needed. A gathering where our faraway thoughts can convene and be given the length and breadth of time to expand, expound and accelerate. Going Om gives Singaporeans just that. A place of envisioning and articulating our desires to better ourselves and our immediate community. Our immediate community which comprised of friends of "going om" , my personal mates who came and supported the event and all other passer-bys who particpated as a sign of divine invention had a chance to affect change in a colony in China. A place can help people go international. This do-it -yourself fundraiser ,supported by Positive Psychology Center, cannot be a success again without all the individuals coming together and pouring forth your gifts, authenticity and beauty. Straight from the heart. I sincerely and humbly thank all of you.
